From my humble beginnings
as a stray dog, I had a dream: to find a chef who could whip up an
assortment of healthy doggie delights rather than massproduced treats filled with additives and preservatives. I found Chef
Augie and it was love at first bite. (I moved in with his family.)
After experimenting with tasty, natural and organic ingredients, Augie began creating the finest treats a dog could love, BARKscotti

We formed Smokey's Doghouse™ in 2007 because I didn't like the idea of giving my dog, Smokey mass-produced treats filled with additives and preservatives. After considerable time and effort, we launched Smokey's Doghouse™, in Michigan, to bake and distribute healthy doggie delights to other dog owners facing the same dilemna.
We offer premium-quality, 100% natural dog treats marketed under the BARKscotti "The biscotti for dogs"®, DogHouse Bones™ and BARKels "The bagel for dogs"™ brands.
These products are distributed in some of the finest grocery, specialty pet and retail stores throughout North America.
Smokey, our Chairdog, is a Labrador Retriever and Beagle mix. She is the inspiration for our philanthropic Smokey Cares™ Foundation activities. Smokey earns her keep by overseeing the activities of the staff and also serves as the corporation's official treat taster. (For more about Smokey, please see Smokey Cares™.)
Smokey's Doghouse™ is a licensed commercial feed manufacturer and distributor and strictly adheres to the product guidelines of the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO).
